Who We Are
Why do we do what we do…to sustain the Dayton Ole Tyme Days Youth Scholarship fund and ensure we are able to provide qualifying graduating seniors with an opportunity to apply and, for some, be awarded additional money to put towards college, trade school, or use it as each recipient sees fit. All funds raised by the Ole Tyme Days Festival activities are to provide scholarships and financial support for the educational endeavors of the community’s graduating seniors. Festival application fees, entry fees, vendor booth fees, etc. are all put into the scholarship fund. By setting aside one weekend each year to promote local and area businesses we are able to support the growth of our local business economy and provide additional support to graduating seniors.
We are…a non-profit organization formed by a group of volunteers who come together annually in town center to promote businesses, brands, and products. We strive to celebrate the heritage, and support the growth of the Dayton community by sponsoring and organizing an annual Ole Tyme Days Festival, any other similar events and/or activities that promote local and area businesses
We want to provide an opportunity for every business to get involved, be active in the community and let people know who you are and what you do.
Need your business introduced to the community, have a product the world needs to know about? This is your chance!
Your business, your products and/or services could be the first thing on people’s minds when it comes time to make a purchase.
No matter the reason or need, you and your business should come join us in town center. Gather with other businesses and community leaders to promote your business. Have a service or product? Get a booth for only $150. Want to prepare hot food, serve cold drinks or have any variation of prepared food and drink? Get a booth for only $250. A vendor booth promotes what you have, advertises what you do.
The Dayton Ole Tyme Days Festival offers events and activities throughout the weekend: entertainment and interactive activities to generate excitement and motivate the crowds to walk the streets where the vendor booths are located. There is the always exciting carnival rides and games; the car, bike, jeep, 4x4 and tractor shows; the junior chili championship; the Annual ‘Lil Miss and ‘Lil Mister Dayton Ole Tyme Days beauty pageant; as well as the ever popular and fun BBQ Cook-Off.
Need an innovative and creative way to draw attention to your business!? Sponsor one of the golf carts that are driven all weekend throughout all areas of the festival. For $300 your business name will be posted on the back and both sides of the golfcart. There are only 18 golf carts available so get your mobile billboard while you still can.
Another option for promoting your business while supporting the community is sponsoring trophies that are given out to the top 3 winners in each festival event. Third place trophies in any category can be sponsored at $50, Second place trophies in any category for $75 and to have your business sponsor a First-place trophy in any category is only $150.
Is your motto “go big or go home!” Sponsor an entire event and have your business name placed prominently throughout the festival grounds and printed on everything related to the event you sponsor.
Maybe you want to be involved but don’t want all the fanfare? Be a general festival sponsor. Donate as little or as much as you want and be a general festival sponsor. Donations given by general festival sponsors help supply the necessary food and drinks that keep the volunteers able to work throughout the weekend to facilitate a safe and successful festival.
To learn how you can become involved as a vendor, sponsor or volunteer reach out to Anna Smith, Festival Chairperson, at 713-492-5880 or by Email. Want to discuss any of this in greater detail face to face? You can find Anna throughout the week at Anna’s Barber Shop at 113 Bryan Street.
